• Meet the Owner

My name is Narcissa Nikolaeva. I am a Ukrainian-American journalist, photographer, author, and all around creative mind. I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine and was adopted into the US as a child where I have grown up. I learned English primarily to write (I wanted to be an author before I could even grasp what that really meant). I have always loved telling stories. My favorite types of fictive stories to explore are the stories that focus on things otherwise unexplored. I write stories focused on themes of mental health, substance abuse, chronic illness, and other things I or people who are close to me have experienced. My debut novel, I Think I'm Lost Again (set to release in 2025), is a story of recovery, resiliance, and coping with the aftermath of substance abuse and mental health concerns. Whether my book reaches 1 person or 1000, I hope to continue telling stories that I believe deserve to be told.

  • Narcissa's Nook

In late 2024, owner Narcissa Nikolaeva decided to start her own website as a way to write what she wanted to when she wanted to. Narcissa's Nook will contain articles written in pop culture news style formats and will house reviews of music, movies, television shows, as well as articles exploring topics Nikolaeva finds interesting, such as concerts and other events she attends. All articles on this website are written and therefore owned by Narcissa Nikolaeva and may not be redistributed elsewhere under any other name without prior authorization from Nikolaeva or her affiliates . As such, all articles are opinion based and are not to be regarded as anything futher. This website is free, and Nikolaeva and affiliates will never reach out for financial compensation for any reason.
